Sun, 25 February 2007 There arn't a lot of things that can tick a fat man off, but one of them is hiking the price of those delicious Hershey's Sundae Pies at Burger King from 1 dollar to a dollar fifty. Now I know what you're thinking "You don't need any more of that fatty, now put out another show you lazy fat ass," and in some ways, you'd be right. Actually, in all ways, you'd be right. But those things are delicious, and now I can only get 66% as many of them for my money. Also, to the cool folks coming over from Greg Dean's "Real Life Comics" if you like what you hear here, it's available free on ITunes (just open I-Tunes, click podcasts, then search for "Smart Bomb Radio" and click subscribe, and it will feed you the episodes as they are released without having to look at my poorly designed webpage.) Anywho, new stuff this week. Had some personal issues to deal with these past two weeks (sick wife, friend went though a major relationship change.) I know, shut up fatty and be funny. We're on it. Excelsior!!! -Will Ross (Don't tell Stan Lee I ripped him off, he's got people... super people.) Category: general -- posted at: 3:34 AM Comments[54] |

Thu, 1 February 2007 And of course a lava lamp. Because according to Hustle and Flow you need a lavalamp. Anyway, we had a great recording session last night which will turn into about 2 episodes and a bonus show. So rock on. Category: general -- posted at: 12:46 PM Comments[39] |
Tue, 30 January 2007 Hiya cats and kittens, just wanted to give you some updates. New shows are coming, this week me and Robin have been working on the studio. For people who like to geek out, I got a gooseneck mic holder for my desk, a notebook pc that I got for christmas will be my new editing and recording machine, and we got two radio shack boom mic holders for the cast mics. Fun fun fun. Then robin figured out that we could cover the walls in cotton batting and fabric, which really does suck up the ambient noise, but is a pain in the ass to staple into the wall. Looks very very cool though. More to follow. This friday I got to hang out with Corby from "The Twisted Pickle" Mikey from "Public Nuissance Radio". both "Chit Chat Moms", the folks from "Borderline" and "The MoCast" at a local yuppie mating ground called "The Upstream." at the Nebraska podcaster meetup. No links right now, I'm a lazy blogger. There was much booze and a lot of Corby's patented "something terrible and terribly funny" happened to me stories. Then our party room got raided by an old man and his large girlfriend with a larger adams apple. At first, we got to see him maul her backside with his tiny withered hands. Then this fellow decided to pick on Corby, which is a good idea except when his best friend happens to be a dan in Akido who is drinking, and on that day, his best friend happened to still be Mikey, meeting all those criteria. All in all it was a fun night. Category: general -- posted at: 2:25 AM Comments[150] |
Tue, 23 January 2007 ![]() And here's mine. I've been bumming around the Escape Pod forums because I've got three flash fiction Speculative Fiction stories in the running in their 300 word flash fiction contest. Anywho, a couple of writers keep journals there to keep on each others asses about getting projects done, and that seemed like a good idea considering my ass is constantly out of gear. Here is the link to the journal I've posted early drafts of portions of the two Podiobooks that will come out after I finish Barfly. Other then that, no news. Getting stomped in Pickle Tales, but by two really good entries, so no shame there. :) Working on my Second Life Tips Podcast on Mignon Fogerty's QDNOW network and really enjoying it. I'm trying to give it a Good Eats feel (Alton Brown FTW!) And we are holding strong at 7th place on the Podcast Pickle which we are super thrilled about. I'm going to do more of what the kids call "Blogging" because my new job gives me lots and lots of downtime, so feel free to keep checking back in from time to time. But take your shoes off first you bloody savages. -Will Ross Hack Writer Category: general -- posted at: 11:41 PM Comments[189] |

Sat, 20 January 2007 Escape Pod (www.escapepod.org), a Science Fiction podcast magazine that rocks me in the socksel region, has started a 300 word flash fiction contest, and of course my hat is in the ring. Check out the contest by clicking here and then check out the forums to vote for your favorites. I've got 3 entries that will be running. Can't tell you which ones, or even hint at it, because of the rules, but after reading and voting I have to say that it's worth the browsing. There is some really good stuff in there!
